Ali Abdillah, SH, LLM

Ali Abdillah is the managing partner at Rijnkade Law Office. He holds his bachelor's and master's in law degrees from two reputable universities, the University of Indonesia and Leiden University (The Netherlands), with his research focusing on ASEAN Law and European Union (EU) Law.
Ali has long experience handling business law and legal cases in general. Ali has expertise in handling cases in the field of business and constitutional law in Indonesia and ASEAN. Ali has been a legal consultant on the investment for fintech companies in Indonesia with an investment value of more than thirty million US dollars. Besides his expertise as a legal consultant, he is experienced in legal risk analysis in the sharia banking sector as he holds certification as a risk management supervisor in the banking industry and previously worked as one of the risk supervisory committees at a sharia bank in Indonesia.
In constitutional law issues, private companies or governments often ask him to assist and consult on cases concerning constitutional law issues in Indonesia, such as elections, administrative law, and judicial review. Ali has an extensive network with the Indonesian government and the international community (notably in the Netherlands). He is a regular speaker at legal forums, seminars, and workshops.
Currently, in addition as managing partner in Rijnkade Law Office, Ali is also a lecturer at the Faculty of Law of the University of Indonesia.

Ali Salmande, SH, LLM
Co-Founder & Partner
Ali Salmande is a summa cum laude law graduate from Trisakti University Faculty of Law. He continued his education and earned his master's degree from Leiden University in the Netherlands. Before that, Ali also studied at Washington State, the United States of America, and various courses abroad. Ali has experience in drafting and reviewing various contracts, such as business and government procurements. Ali also has an in-depth knowledge of immigration law and import-export regulation due to his monitoring of the latest government policies related to these areas.
Before establishing RLO, Ali worked as an editor at Hukumonline.com, one of the leading legal websites in Indonesia. Besides being a partner at RLO, he is also a legal expert at the Parliament of the Republic of Indonesia.

Moh. Amar Khoerul Umam, S.H., M.H.
Government Procurement & Public Sector Projects Expert
Amar is a law graduate from Universitas Indonesia. He holds a master of law degree from the same university and is a licensed lawyer from Indonesia Bar Association. He experienced as a legal expert for the General Elections Commission of the Republic of Indonesia in 2014. He was the project officer of the District Courts Innovation Program at the Supreme Court of the Republic of Indonesia in 2015.
Throughout his career, he has been known to be a skillful person in managing government procurement and public sector projects. He managed various government projects from many sectors, such as telecommunication, judicial reform in courts, regional governments, and many more. With his immense experience, he is an expert in government procurement and public sector project at RLO

Egi Mahira Irham, S.H., M. Kn.
Corporate Law Expert
Egi Mahira Irham is an associate lawyer at RLO. Egi holds his bachelor in law degree from Universitas Indonesia, with his research focusing on land law studies. Egi finished his master's degree in Master of Notarial Law from Universitas Indonesia with his research focusing on Corporate Law and Shari'a Law, especially in Waqf regulation in Indonesia. Egi involved as a legal expert in many legal cases and government projects, specifically intellectual property rights and notary cases, such as notarial deeds, land deeds, company matters, and agreement reviews.

Rico Novianto, S.H., M.A.
Corporate & Litigation Law Expert
Rico Novianto is a law graduate from the Faculty of Law Universitas Indonesia. He also holds a Master of Arts degree from Prince Songkla University, Thailand. Rico has vast experience and knowledge as a government and private-sector legal consultant. Before joining RLO, Rico was involved as a legal consultant at PT Bumi Serpong Damai, Tbk., a legal expert on the Ease of Doing Business Project (EoDB) and Online Single Submission (OSS) at the Coordinating Ministry of Economic Affairs, and a lawyer at top tier law firm in Indonesia handled cases such as corporate law, merger and acquisition project, and litigation.
With his tremendous experiences as a consultant and a licensed lawyer from Indonesia Bar Association, Rico is a senior associate with corporate law and litigation expertise at RLO.
